Animals have introduced me to some of the finest people I know!
“Little Bit” was rescued from a loading dock in downtown LA. Come to find out, she was a frequent visitor. I was not prepared for what came next. This beautiful little kitty , unfixed and scrawny also tested positive for felv- feline leukemia. I was devastated and went on a mission
to find out everything i could. Through diet, time and love…she thrived and 6 mos. later i put her up for adoption. She was adopted out on Valentines Day, the day she “re-tested negative” Susan would be her new mommy and ended up being a huge supporter of my work with feral cats.
The day i delivered Little Bit to Susan…..it was a happy but emotional day. She told me the story of her 20 year old kitty named “Snow” who had crossed the Rainbow Bridge and she had been looking and looking for her next “love” She wiped a tear from her eye, briefly left the room and came out to show me what her vet had given her—-it was the “Furry Angel Pet Memorial Candle” I cried with her when i read the poem.
“Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if i were beside you, I loved you so…t’was heaven here with you”
It was the most perfect sentiment as it came from the beloved Furry Angel. I contacted the company and wanted to become a customer……That’s when i learned they were selling the company as their primary business was a Pet Mortuary…..so i went from being a “customer” to
a “proud owner” of Furry Angel. We put up a website in 1996 and the rest is history.
We are grateful you have found us….Furry Angel Candles & Chimes have been healing hearts since the 1980’s, we stand honored to carry it forward.
Lauren & all the Furry Angels
